Little Baby Eva!

Newborn sessions are so much fun. What a precious baby girl! We photographed baby Eva when she was only one month old, and still so tiny. Own own baby girl was the same weight as Eva when she was born! 7.8 pounds. Can’t wait to see how she has grown at her 6 month portrait!

I love this one of Eva in the basket. Tiny baby bodies are miraculous!

This is Han, Paola’s other baby

Paola’s mom is in from Columbia! I think having a baby brings mother and grandmother together like nothing else.

Robert & Susanne <3

I shot these images of my dear friends Robert and Susanne by candlelight. The sun had long set by the time we took them, so I went with that. I love the vintage, almost eery effect that we got. Susanne wore the dress her mother made by hand and wore herself decades ago. I feel like if I stumbled  across these images, I wouldn’t know which era they came out of…

These last two were not candlelight, but still let us play with very low light…

Lauren & Kevin Engaged!

Lauren and Kevin. What a cute couple. Lauren actually tried to tell me she and Kevin are camera sky and have a PDA phobia… we pretty much figured out that is not the case. Their energy together is very natural and loving, which makes my job easy. I really love the way they look in muted tones, so take a look at some of my personal favorites below. Their wedding is coming up in August, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out. It will be at the gorgeous King Plow Arts Center. Here they are, the to-be Haynes: Lauren and Kevin.

Leigh & Matt

I don’t know if I have ever encountered a bride who had more fun on her wedding day….or a couple for that matter. Matt and Leigh had their first kiss in the 8th grade, if I recall correctly, and after years of dating finally tied the knot. Matt asked Leigh to be his wife at the very spot where they had their first kiss so many years ago.  Needless to say. they are best friends and that is obvious just being around them. As for the venue, it was just about perfect. In fact, if I were to get married all over again, it might just be at the Piedmont Room at Piedmont Park. Located in downtown Atlanta, there’s a great view of the park and city skyline. The main room is almost all windows so tons of light flooded the ceremony. A beautiful day.  10_03_43_img_4709

Leigh was all smiles down the aisle.

Here is a shot of Matt’s sweet mom during the ceremony.

Just pronounced as husband and wife!!

Matt and Leigh’s first dance

This might be my favorite of the whole night. The way Matt looked at Leigh got me every time.

LOVE this shot Chris got of the father daughter dance

garter toss…15_08_55_img_5989

Here is the couple who caught the garter and bouquet.

I forget the exact words, but the lyrics said something like “it’s me for the rest of your life” and Leigh pointed to herself, adorable!16_05_58_img_625916_06_02_img_626816_23_15_img_6322

Sneak Peak…Leigh and Matt at Piedmont Park

Before me and the hubs head to NYC (YAY!!!!) for the weekend, we wanted to share a taste of what we’ve been editing this week. We are really loving this wedding so far. Gorgeous couple-inside and out. We’ll post the full wedding collection after we return…

Kristen & Patrick Newly Wed Portraits!

Rarely do I come across a couple with so much passion for one another. At our shoot (featuring mostly coffee shops because of the rainy weather), Kristen and Patrick basically went into lovely land and forgot about me taking a million photos of them. This, I might add, is the perfect formula for excellent shots that capture the love between two people. I wish I could share all of their 160 images with you just to show how incredibly sweet (and sometimes hilarious) their interaction is.  The best images, in my opinion, are the ones that illustrate the authentic bond between husband and wife…the ones that ultimately remind you of how much you adore your other half.

Patrick serenaded Kristen shamelessly, very very sweet. metzger-4-of-26metzger-13-of-26metzger-12-of-26metzger-11-of-26
